5 Tips for better rebranding

Rebranding

Just like the market, trends and everything in general changes and evolves, so should your company. One of the characteristics of a good business owner is to know when change is needed. Change is scary but staying the same when everything on the market evolves is dangerous. Sometimes, rebranding is a must. It is a great way to give the business a fresh look in order to match the changing demand.

Share your new ideas

Do not be afraid to announce that you are thinking about rebranding. Clients love to feel like they are a part of the company. Share your ideas, tell them why you feel like you need a change, what you are thinking of doing and when you think you will start. Use phrases like ‘You’ve asked, we listened’ or ‘By popular demand’ or even ‘We have been working on ways of making our product easier to use to satisfy your needs’. This will also give them the opportunity to share their thoughts and ideas with you and give you an insight on what will work best.

Know your clients

You need to know who you are rebranding for. Some clients do not react well to change so you might start a slow change instead of a drastic one. Who are your clients? Will they be most receptive to a slow change or a quick one? Are there any specific details that should stay the same? These are all questions you need to ask yourself in order to know what will be best for your clients.

Refresh you image

When you decide to rebrand, your whole image should represent your new ideas. Maybe you need to redesign your website, change your logo, or simply change your employees shirts. It is important to pay attention to these little details that can go a long way in communicating the message you want to transmit to your clients.

Do not be afraid to take your time

Take your time. Rebranding requires brainstorming and preparation. Do not be afraid to take the time you need. Whether your website needs to be under construction for a while or you need to stop posting on social media to recreate your  feed, it is important not to rush through the process and make sure everything is ready before you show it to your clients.

Stay true to who you are

While rebranding, you will change your image and way of doing things but it is important to stay true to the values of your company. Your clients love you for a reason. Make sure they do not loose you through the rebranding process.
